I covered this point with my first reply to this post. Most companies have pulled out of those areas temporarly till the situation stabilizes, all claims and lawsuits are finalized, and when there is enough funds acquired to be able pay out the next time this happens. Actually your bone to pick is not with the insurance corporations it is actually with your own employer yep "The US goverment". Flood policies are actually brokered though insurance companies not written by them. The Dept of Homeland Security and FEMA are actually those ones in charge of every flood policy in the US, it is called NFIP (national flood insurance program) but its hard to sue the government so these cracker jack lawyers go after the middle man.
So if you are so passionate about people getting jack around by FEMA write your congressman.
I'm not here to argue just stating the facts.
