Does anybody actually respond to these anymore??? I know when the internet was first starting and people were getting used to it this was a huge problem. Now these days there is not a legitimate company that will ask you through email to provide any information concerning any of your accounts.

Now there are some scams out there that are being used where you receive an email possibly from a company that you deal with. These emails say that you need to login to your account and update your information. They will provide a link to the company page but will actually be linked to a page that looks similar to the actual page. However, once you enter your account login and password you will not get logged in but your account information will be in the hands of the bad guys and they will drain your accounts quicker than you can say boo.

The key to remember is:

DO NOT SEND ANY INFORMATION IN RESPONSE TO EMAILS RECEIVED. NO COMPANY WILL EVER SEND YOU SOMETHING LIKE THAT.
