Now there are some scams out there that are being used where you receive an email possibly from a company that you deal with. These emails say that you need to login to your account and update your information. They will provide a link to the company page but will actually be linked to a page that looks similar to the actual page. However, once you enter your account login and password you will not get logged in but your account information will be in the hands of the bad guys and they will drain your accounts quicker than you can say boo.

The key to remember is:

DO NOT SEND ANY INFORMATION IN RESPONSE TO EMAILS RECEIVED. NO COMPANY WILL EVER SEND YOU SOMETHING LIKE THAT.

People are dump, so yes, people still respond to these types of emails. I read a few months ago, people still send certified checks to someplace in Europe to purchase cars in Miami. SURPRISE, there is no car. People also still believe that some dude in Africa really wants to deposit millions of dollars in their personal account so they can scoot out of the country. If they are that dumb, they deserve to lose every penny they have.
