Re: Lebron James' H2
Having suggested a show for ESPN with Dragon and MSA his shop doing a full indepth not fluff H2 customization with real tech things to learn. They seemed, not knowing for sure, seemed to want a drama show where everyone was cursing and fighting like Unique and others. I told them I wanted a real learning show where rather than just see the start of it and then the end viewers could actually learn how it was done. It could be another rig next time so we covered the spectrum of rides. I think we could have done 3 or 4 different rides a year. I went with H2 as we were just about ready to get real serious with the Mall Queen and stripping it down inside and out. We had come up with the paint scheme and reverse cowl scoop along with the change in the rear end. It is so tech hard that Trucks and even Mini Trucks have asked for tech articles after we bought parts from vendor and he thought it so difficult and cool He called the Mags.
It appears these shows want like 7 or 8 new shows maybe because of doing on location shoots. They figure people flip through channels so much that they can show those, then to fill the season they use old ones intermingled and have enough to get them through a season till summer when everyone is outside and not watching. PINKS does the same thing it appears unless changed for this season they do like 6 new shows and intermingle them with old shows or they add by doing a Best OF replay. I asked PINKS about doing a run with My H2 and any other H2 as long as no internal work has been done to engine as I have not done. Factory drive train like Me. Any add-ons Ok good tuning and run what You brung heads-up. Looser pays the donation to a charity like St. Judes Children in Memphis, equal to what both rigs have commited to put up. I told them I was not going to put My rig up for pink slips as they would be hard pressed to find another H2 that has as much invested in it. They have done it before with drag bikes where each put a replacement ride up. Well anyway I'm waiting on reply for a long while now after talking to Nate whose job is to screen or a casting call type thing, so I'm taking it as a no. If it is hard to see how cool it would be to have 2 H2's on a strip raising money for charity it is said. If reacted in time i think i could have gotten John Daly from golfing as He holds a chariy tourney every year for St. Judes in Memphis. Any time You tell Daly it will raise money for the kids with cancer he will do it and i thought include it as part of his tourney and PINKS at same time but, at night which it usualy is anyway. John would have come to track etc. Oh well forgotten now at least for 2007. St. Jude golf tourney is normally spring time.
While I'm thinking about in case anyone is interested Dragon was on a ESPN pilot shoot not long ago where they took I think 8 cars and at dragstrip they laid down speed and ET. Each team had a set amount of money to see how much they could improve their runs down the strip. It had all the main cars You would think of Vette, mucsle cars, and rice rockets not real sure on mix. Rice rockets being Dragon's specialty he chose a Nissan 350Z. Dates for airing 3/31/07 Sat. 9:30 and 10 AM or 4/3/07 Tues. 4:30 and 5:00 PM. his team is called The Shop. I guess they did not want to allow for shop promotion which is fine I guess. I was sick and did not get to go for the week long shoot. It was shot on a dragstrip in Arkansas which is where we are from, anyway it is a nice strip. Centerville is what we call it for short around here.
Well hope i have shown a little light on why You see so many reruns on these shows. With Sat I flip over and read the info on it and if watched move on.
I applogize if I have gotten concepts wrong based on my experience but, if You count the new shows You see and then all the reruns I know all the forum Buds are smart enough to figure out what the deal is with my theory.
