I wasn't advocating doing no math. I was really questioning if you had to remove it from the vehicle. I assume you measure the length along the spring from mount to mount (with a cloth tape) and straight line distance between the mounts....and then do some math. Do you have to do it with the load of the truck on it, or with the spring under no load?
