As for the blind spot mirrors it's really a personal preference. Most of the ones I've seen are placed in the lower outer corner. But once you get the mirrors properly adjusted and get used to them there really isn't much of a blind spot to deal with.

This or something like it was in the GEICO mag a long time ago. I have been driving / adjusting my mirrors this way for AGES...

Putting your CONVEX round mirrors on the Outside Lower section is best as it does gain a little more angle.

AND

when you reach MY AGE I added the FRESNEL Plastic Lens to the rear window and it works great...
