I posted this report on another forum, and wanted to share it here as well.
I was a bit dissapointed with the Auto show. I felt like I was walking through a great big parking lot with a lot of people. There wasn't any accessory manufacturers or a whole lot of personalabilty there. It was like a great big display, of different cars. I thought that more informatin about the different lines would be available at the dealerships and on line.
Hummer's display was no different than the other luxury cars being shown. They did nothing like Jeep did to show off the line.
Jeep had a track set up outside and was giving folks rides. The track had a steep approach climb, steep departure angle, break over angles. etc. Looked like it was a real hit with the length of the line. Too long though to wait on.
I was able to see the new H3 Alpha.
Unfortunately it was locked, and no one was able to get inside or look under the hood!
It was sporting a new color to replace the Slate Blue Metalic, for 2008. It was called Graphite. I will list pics below so you can see. I guess my '06 H3/ Slate Blue is going to be a collectors model.
In this pic, notice how the lower grill has been changed. I don't like it.
The ALPHA, logo is on the rear right side of the gate. This is the only one on the truck. The regular H3's are still located on the hinge side of the doors.
