I used the 'hammered' textured paint, just masked off the door, scratched up the emblem w/some scotchbright pads and painted about 3 coats. That was last summer and it still looks great (note, I did the same on my grill and have all kinds of little shiny spots where rocks have hit the grill and the chrome shines through
