Put a good lift kit on it. Messing with the torsion bars can (and will) tear up other suspension pieces. It also messes up the ride, as you've experienced.
You can add a inch or so without much impact, but I suspect you went for more.
If you are going to run 37's a lift will look better anyway.
I am currently buttering up the wife for a 6" lift and 37s (38s?). So far the exchange rate has been too high. (Mother inlaw visiting for 2 weeks - ICK!) I'm waiting for a more resonable trade (jewelry, spa visit, anything but the mother in-law)....
