I found some specs on that 3.0L diesel on wikipedia
here. According to their info, it makes 168 HP @ 4000 rpm and 258 ft-lbs @ 1800 rpm.
You know, I thought I would love a diesel in the H3, but if this is the choice, my interest is kind of fading. The 3.7L I5 already makes 220 lb-ft @ 2200 rpm, and a little more pedal gives me 20 more at 5600.
With Adventure package gearing, the I5's torque curve isn't a limitation offroad. So if I have to trade most of my HP and high end torque to gain 40 ft-lbs of torque at the bottom end, it's probably not worth it. Maybe if it was just my weekend wheeling toy, but not as a daily driver.
