I think that is the reason. My paint is not the best, I dont care so much about instrument and button placement, I have an Ipod adapter (dont listen to the radio) and the sound system is good enough...I can drive up the side of a wall though!!
anything beyond driving up the side of a cliff or off it for that matter is luxury to me. My AC works great, and seats are super comfortable. Thats about all I care about. Im a simple person though.
I look at it this way. You pay for performance (ie: Jeep Rubicon, Subaru STI) or great physical attributes and features(Passat)...and then you break $40K+ and you start getting both (Range Rovers, Porsche Cayenne).
