That's a bummer, Marc.
A few months ago I had some wench at Home Depot scrap the side of my Suburban as she backed out. One of the clerks saw the whole thing before she immediately drove off. She scraped it so bad that she actually got stuck and had to move forward to dislodge herself.
Anyway, I know a lot of cops and I talked to them about a scenario like this (when it happened to me). They said that no way in heck are you ever going to see any justice. It simply is not a high enough priority for any dept. You need to extract justice yourself.
On a side note.... I see a non-stop stream of cops giving people speeding tickets in Jefferson Country, almost every day. Hmmm. What a surprise it is that raising speeding ticket revenue is a much higher priority than dealing with actually property crimes.
