Over the weekend I shot around 200 rounds of .38's and the gun shot great. Loaded .357 rounds the next day and after shooting the first 6 rounds the cylinder jammed and will not open. I took the gun completely apart and could not get it unjammed. Had someone else with the same exact gun come over, took his apart, and did not see anything out of the ordinary.
So........off the the gunsmith it went.

Bummer about the jam. I'm not doubting your description of you firearm, but on Ruger's website, they don't have GP100s with 2-inch barrels. Are you sure it's not an SP101? Also, if the revolover is yours, the two-inch barrel removes most of the velocity of the .357 mag rounds. I've seen the tables, and there's a huge drop-off in the velocity of .357 mag rounds when you go from a three-inch to a two-inch barrel. So, you might just want to shoot .38 Special +P rounds anyway. My father carries a 3-inch .357 mag for that very reason.
