Gobi seems to be a bit more bulky than this one. Not sure though if I could mount the spare up there if I decided to do so, or if a kayak rack would adhere to it. Don't get me wrong, I DO like the Gobi racks, but this one just looks more "heavy duty". Oh well....decisions
