I would run your new head unit and then see where you are at. You may want to consider adding a subwoofer with your bose system. I would replace the factory speakers last. Just my opinion.

Good advice, I added a 12 sub to the existing bose and it sounds amazing. PAC makes an interface so you can run an aftermarket head unit with the existing bose speakers, then you can run an amp off the RCA's to a sub.
