Imported?? Yeah from the same place you guy's import it from...the plant in Indiana! Has US GM moved the Canadian production plant to India or something?? The only difference is that we may pay an extra $600-900 for transportation...apart from that we also pay a 6% Goods and Services Tax (GST) only on vehicles 5yr's and younger. Other than that there should be no real difference, so how come over the last 4 or so years has the price not changed to reflect the difference in currency rates? Next on the table will be the huge differnce in Gas prices, Canada $1.02/litre, US $2.40/Gallon, Canadian equivelent $4.08/US Gallon!! Thats a differnece of $1.68/Gallon. Another bone of contention is Brokerage fees on US imports!
It's gonna get a hell of alot worse before it gets better!! NAFTA is as good with Canada trading with the US as it is with the US trading with Mexico! FUBAR'D!
