What is a good, reliable alarm? There is a local shop here that sells and services Viper alarms.
I have a Viper in my daily driver that so far has been excellent.
Also, do I need an interface?

Be careful of the place that installs the alarm. A friend of mine had a Viper installed a few years back. 2 days after the install he had a break-in attempt. The fargan bastages knew exactly where to pry up the hood of his 300 ZX to snip the power wire of the alarm!
What they didn't count on was the factory alarm going off. He heard it go off and flew out there with his 686 357 only to see them sppeding away in a Van. Pretty ovoius the installation company had something to do with it but couldn't prove it legaly
Funnilly enough there was no other break-in attempt
