On the 12" kit, both driveshafts have to be lenghtened. On the 6" kit, neither have to be lenghtened--just a new CV joint installed up front.
Where do you live? If in CA, no doubt that VIP can do the job. Manny has been doing these lifts a long time. From the work I have seen, they do it well.
You can maintain the origional trailing arms but I would not do so. I like to stiffen them when over 6" in height.
I like the SMA ones but they are gone. We still use them, grabbing them where we can and then we will have them made. Other companies make good trailing arms too.
FTS makes a great kit--have one on my Yellow H2---I like the service at BP better, that's all.
I like the FTS anti compression struts and use them with the BP kit. I also use their tubular track bar, which is very strong and sharp looking as well.
More later on what is included in the kit. Note that I use King shocks with 1" diameter shafts and 2.5" cans, not the Fox Shock sticks that are offered with the base kit.
In this pic, I also increased the diameter of the drivesahft since I had them made from scratch--the front one too.
