I'm against the death penalty, too. I also believe we should not incarcerate criminals for life, because that's also a death penalty.

We treat criminals horrendously and I find it reprehensible. Just because someone kills an entire family of four, doesn't mean there's no good in the convict and that he's not a wholesome person inside. We have a civic duty to find the good, find the sweetness in everyone.

We, as a caring and responsible society, should educate the criminals by doing away with the current penal system and it's institutions and replace them with education centers geared toward rehabilitation.

In doing this, the convicted criminals would not have to live a life behind bars, but would be made into productive members of society, living, shopping, and working in our neighborhoods, baby sitting our children and walking our pets.

Yes, that's what I want. Convicted serial rapists helping my wife with her groceries. Convicted pedophiles working working the ice cream truck. Convicted murderers working at toy stores. Convicted thieves working for me running a cash register.

With proper education and therapy we can, and must do this for the good of society, our children's futures, and the futures of thier children.
