the real reason was because NOBODY EVER CHECKS THE AIR IN THERE SPARE TIRE !! and if it had a monitor when it was low it would set off the tire light ..
and getting paid under warranty to find the problem and submit it to get paid gm was loosing there ass on this. so they got rid of it .. because they had to pay warranty work that was a crock because the owner was too stupid to check it
and it paid .7 to diag the low tire light and .2 to inflate all tires to specified pressure ... thats .9 total .. and if a shop charger 100.0 per hour thasts 90 bucks to do that .. nd if the tec makes 20 bucks a flat rate hour thats 18 bucks he just made ... now add all the millions of warranty claims up ....
gets expensive real quick ...........
