I've read many whisky reviews and with only a few have I experienced what the taster experienced with that particular whisky.
They remind me of cigar reviews where there are about 8 key words that tasters use. Plus, you have to add it a few made-up expressions.
"At first I noticed a malty sweetness. There was some vanilla with a raisins, followed by a floral bouquet that resembled a citrusy sweetness." LOL.
I will say the I read a review of Macallan Cask Strength that pointed to cinammon and raisins and it was spot on.
You ever read reviews by Michael Lam? Every single review includes "malty sweetness".
