Default Re: h2 diesel for sale

Nothing wrong with advertising it here. You just gotta remember that we are a more savy group than the average person looking at your ad.

1) the mileage inconsistency didn't phase me, it could have been a difference in when it was posted and when the picture was taken.

2) I doubt the H2 will be disappearing just like that. GM may have to do some work to meet some standards or get around them, but the Hummer line would be toast without the H2, and there is too much invested into Hummer to scrap it now. The Hx may be the key to getting the brand to meet the standards required.

3) The locker control panel is indeed different. It seems to have a 2 wheel full time drive option and then a hi and low locked transfercase option. If there is no full time 4 wheel drive then improved mileage should be expected regardless of the diesel engine. The fact that it is diesel and 2 wheel drive makes me think the mileage boost should be more considerable. The rear differential lock is standard on all Hummers but is conspicously missing in this one. Locking the Tcase or the rear diff is only something that should be done at low speed, this is true no matter what transmission or engine is in there. I see no reason to disable the trucks capabilities to protect it from an idiot who does not know how to use the systems correctly. So the question remains is the locking rear diff gone? and a new question is the truck full time 2 wheel drive as opposed to 4?

4) What is the device under the locker control panel (it's round, just down and to the left) Does that have something to do with the semi-manual (step)transmission? The shifter looks standard so I was wondering how you control the step transmission anyway.

I applaud you for undertaking the diesel conversion it makes the truck very desirable, even with the mileage (maybe not 74g but desirable none the less) I think you might have been better off trying to move it without some of the other bells and whistles which obviously cost you something but generally don't recoup their costs. Maybe you could put the rims on your new truck and sell this with the standard. I think getting the full offroad functionality back is more important than any other options you may have added as someone who finds the diesel capability desirable is likely to appreciate the off road abilities too. Also the warranty issue is very confusing I think you need to simplify it. If their is an application required by the underwriter of the warranty that needs to be completed due to the work done, you should do it so that all that needs to happen at a sale is transfer of the holder. Also I think the scope of the warranty needs to be explained more succinctly. The way it reads now does not add to the value IMHO.

Good Luck!
