Yep, I purchased it already painted black (but chrome underneath) from a guy on Ebay ($98 bucks delivered so not too bad), but the kid did not do a very good job on the paint. So I basically sanded it all back down to the "chrome", primed with a primer for plastic (Rustoleum) and then overcoated with two different textures, "hammered" and then "textured" (also Rustoleum), to get the "heavier" textured look. Should hold up pretty good, I would think that other than gouging or scraping off with a tool, the paint should adhere pretty well, nice thing is touchups are easy BTW, I used one of those spray can holders with the pistol grip and man does that make using a spray can awesome, better control and easier on the hands/fingers too...just a tip if you are gonna give it a whirl.
