You act as if I am slamming GM for getting rid of Hummer; I am not. I am slamming them in general (no pun intended).
To answer your question..."it all depends"...there are many variables, too many to get into here, that would determine the proper course of action.
And I'm not sure what relevance your "I'm a stakeholder...hope to be CEO" chest pounding has to do with anything.
