Watching the Boys here too. Now I know why Ken is outside, CP probably locked the doors.

Spent the morning planting potatoes and pulling weeds. These weeds are truly nasty - their root system consists of a long stretch of root with several nodules. A sprout comes up from each node, so if you don't get the whole root, more weeds pop up in a few days. We're on week 3 now of pulling them. There are less each time, but man....they come up through 3" of mulch.

Found a downside to the Hummer this week. Kid started preschool on Wednesday. The school has this great system where you put a name tag on your mirror, they have a volunteer who radios the name back to the classroom as you pull up and they bring your kid out to the truck. Which rocks, since it's in the upper 90s so I don't have to get out and I get to keep the baby in his seat as well. Well, all was good until I went to pull up to the front of the school to get the kid - the overhang clearance is about 7' high. Hummer won't fit. 2 staff have to direct the other 2 cars behind me to back out of the drive so I can back out. Oh well, looks like I'll be dragging the baby into school on Monday.
