I get those too. I ended up using 000 steel wool. All gone. Than I put rainx on all windows. Hasn't come off since.
I recently got behind a fawking a hole driving a dump truck full of sand. No cover on it and was overloaded. now my windshield is trashed.
...son consider those "little water spots" a minor issues.
