You guys are right....
The guy did the whole job, including labor, for $195. I figured it was so inexpensive - and he did a 'good' job (good, if the mirror wasn't torqued) - that I was hoping for some quick reset trick from the forum. Wouldn't have to bust his chops, no harm, no foul, and I would be good to go.
Here is why you guys are totally on the mark - I removed the mirror to get a better angle on the connector to check for bent pins or something - all was ok - as I followed the loom upwards, right where they meet the windshield and go into the headliner at the back of the console, there are a couple of cut wires.
You get what you pay for, I suppose. Anyway, just got off of the phone with him - he will be having a tech come out to fix it up.
Thanks again, to all and the forum, though, I probably should have done what you guys said in the first place - just told him, it was fine, now it isn't - effin fix it (without bugging the forum).
