As far as I am concerned the "incident" was my fault. I was not thinking with the kid in the room because I was too busy with my own agenda; new wheels and an outrageously over priced ITC light bar. That little episode was a reality check to re-evaluate my priorities. Sure, I hope she did not notice the avitars. I am not worried though. I know kids these days are not totally naive to such things, and she remains a loving child. We had a little tickle fight before she left.

Now I know of many other sites containing other subjects that are full of people enjoying their stuff, whether it be laptops, cameras or motorcycles without the exotic avitars. So making a claim that such a website without such avitars if as "boring as a manual" to me seems more than a little far fetched.

So what was I really trying to say here? Is it okay to willingly show such avitars to kids? I think not, but rather, what sort of self image do I want to portray to others? Should I care if an adult or child misinterprets my character? Call me up tight if you want; call my friends up tight, as was already done; but I suggest that it's only the way you look at things from your perspective; I happen to be looking with a different perspective; what is uptight to you is a good thing to me and others like me. My perspective in a nutshell is this; I happen to care if what I do involves and affects those that matter to me as well as their opinion of me. If caring in such a way is a crime then I am guilty. If my friends and I seem to live in a strange way to you it's Ok. What is more important is that I am happy with our "uptight" way of life. My opinion is if the world were just a little more "uptight" it would be a better place... but that's only my uptight perspective.
