Thanks all for your concern and birthday wishes!
My sister and her fiance thankfully have their lives and limbs after the two accidents. They left the hospital with a lot of muscle aches and some abrasions. They're on pain meds and will get better as days go by. Their car was on the cusp of being totalled. They chose to have it repaired .. 'estimate' today was $10,500.00.
I DID manage to have my 'birthday meal of choice' Sunday evening.
