Unequal load on the torsion bars could create an uneven ride (mild effect at best) but more importantly, a good dip in the road would twist the suspension in a wierd way. An unequal load on the torsion bar will affect the alignment so if it's driving straight down the road I wouldn't mess with it.
None of that is probably more than minute at the best but still a concern. What'd I say about being picky?
