Hummer needs to boost sales and the best way I see it is by offering a lifetime powertrain warranty. Now that it would be backed up by the government if Hummer goes under, what do they have to loose? There are still a lot of educated consumers that worry about the cylinder head problem on the H3 I5. Hummer has already lost Tobin in Vegas, if they loose Lynch, the handwriting is on the wall for the Hummer brand. There are still a lot of people out there that want Hummers and many forget how cyclical the economy can be............... but how long can Hummer dealers survive this slump without sales? One thing is for sure, there has never been a better time to buy a Hummer. I paid sticker for my '03 and near sticker for my '06.
