Default Re: Hummer We Need Thee

I've come to the conclusion that the best thing for Hummer is to have some other group than GM produce it. GM has done a horrible job of marketing, and advertising the Hummer. Fuel prices went up and not a word on the flex fuel engine or the new improvements for 2009. GM is trying to hang on and not considering the future, and large SUVs and a fuel efficient H4 have a definite future.
I also had a talk with my lockal Hummer dealer and they are getting "very careful about doing warranty work on Hummers," because if GM declares bankruptcy they would not be reimbursed by GM. It would go to the bankruptcy court with all the other creditors and at best they would get pennies on the dollar for their work. He wouldn't tell me how much behind GM was with their warranty payments, but he said it was "mucho dollars." Might be some of the reasons we're hearing gripes all of a sudden on warranty work.
