Thanks HummBob...not sure what I would do with out that helpful hint,
But...they are working now. I had to modify the metal strip at the bottom by moving them to the left a bit.
I also plugged them into the markers but they don't blink so I kept the stock bulbs. Here are two pics with my camera phone.
