We ran up to Arlington National Cemetary yesterday to pay our respects to some relatives, and all the other heroes buried there.
Fortunately we got a driving pass, which you just can't get unless you're visiting relatives, because the place was mobbed.
I appreciated how the motorcycle vets would completely block vehicles from moving by surrounding them with their bikes. Protesters really have no business at such a solomn place.
If you ever get a chance to go, be sure to leave the more public areas and venture out for a walk. It was well worth the traffic and 3.5 hr, each way, drive.
