I got some of the spray can bed liner and I was going to spray the skid plate and the back Rear Differential Cover. I asked my husband if I should just spray over the bolts or if I needed to do something special to them first?

He then said that I should ask you guys FIRST if spraying the cover will aid it in overheating? Like sealing in the heat and not letting it cool properly? If not and I can just spray it...what about the bolts please?
