I can relate to that. I remember about 15 years ago I bought a Corvette in Brandywine red that had just a little bit of clearcoat delamination on the fuel door. I promised my wife I would live with it for a while before diving into a project. That lasted about two days. I could not stop looking at that little area on the fuel door. Vette was completely stripped down to glass, put an Ecklers ZR-1 style bumper on it and repainted it it torch red.
