Pulling the center off the dash is a pain. open your center console and pull all the screws out to remove the lid and pull the bucket.

Shift the truck to first gear and use a torx bit to remove the set screw in the front side of the shifter. Then shift to N and pull straight up on your PRNDL and cup holders to remove that piece. Then remove all the necessary screws and bolts from the center console so that you can slide it backwards.

Then pull your dash tits down towards the center console. Is held in place by friction clips. The On Star unit is bolted in with small hex head bolts. 8mm I think.

Then your on your own. Let us know how it works out for you!

Got it done today. Other than dropping my 8mm socket and watching it roll underneath my shifter, not too much trouble. The Bluestar unit is quite large, there is no room for it behind the Onstar module. I ended up taking the glovebox out to put it under the airbag switch. Used zip ties to secure it to the horizontal brace. Can't try the bluestar yet, dead battery. Thanks again for your advice. dennis
