I went ahead and made some 3/16" thick x 1.5" x 2" metal plates. Drilled 16mm holes (used 5/8" bit - same size). Welded them up on each side of the control arm brackets. The bolt is back in the original spot and should stay there. Off to the alignment shop. Advice would be just to double check those bolts are tight from time to time and will cause a popping sound in the front end when loose. I also used lock tite. Anyway - all is fixed. Also installed a pitman arm, idler arm and cognito brackets.
