My daughter's Olds is a case in point, where she was sideswiped and two years later the repairs never showed up. You can't beat having a mechanic inspect it and looking it over very closely yourself.

I agree, you gotta dig and have a mechanic check it out. I once found a Porsche that was being sold by a lot with a questionable past. Car was perfect. but 7 years of it's history was missing. After finding a receipt for some work and contacting the shop, I found out the car sat in a barn for 7 years!
