Well, according to this site the 17"x9" steel wheel weighs about 40 lbs, and their one aluminum wheel they list weighs 45 lbs.

Weight could vary a lot depending on design, but I think a simple steel wheel will usually be lighter than a comparable alloy one. Steel can be thinner. I know the stock alloy wheels are heavier than heck! I'll have to weigh one of mine before I put them on.
