Default My thoughts and what if's???

I was just sitting here looking back over the old post and reading how happy all of us were that we finally had our H3's, the first Hummer for most of us and it got me thinking. I think somewhere around 157,000 H3's were sold which is about half the number of Cherokees sold in the US. I was wondering, if they had come out with the H3 earlier would the Hummer still live today? I think the we all know the reputation Hummers have for mpg (everytime I pump gas someone ask me how many mpg I get) but they had made a prototype hybrid H3 apparently supposed to get very good mpg rating (up to 100mpg). I feel that the reputation of the brand couldve been changed before it was too late. Not that I would buy a battery operated hummer, but I bet it wouldnt have hurts sales numbers and kept the production of the real models going. In my opinion a $30,000 "cool looking" very capable offroad production midsized SUV is now missing from the market. Ive never had more compliments on a vehicle than this one from all types and ages of people. I now have 125,000 miles on mine and hope it last forever, but I know eventually Ill have to get something else. The only question will be, what to get when its time? It really is like nothing else....and now I call it my collectors item.
