The "rooftop tire mount" is actually the same tire mount that comes with the inside tire carrier. I was able to use it for the roof rack that I had. I simply added a piece of threaded rod to it to help distribute the load. This will only work with a boulder accessories or factory roof basket.
I would sell if to for $35 shipped.
