I've had it this way for about 3 years without any issues. Honestly though, it almost a little too tall for 38's. I only did it to ensure that I wouldn't have any rubbing issues when I went from 37's to 38's. I changed wheels at the same time to a better offset, so I'm not sure which helped with rubbing the most, but I've never had any rubbing since I went taller.
