Re: Thinking Bout a Whipple...
So I guess the question is no longer about the whipple, it is more about a SC in general or a turbo, I got it right?
Here's the thing, I know the SC will torque a little more than normal, but then again I am not tearing aroudn in my ride. I do offroading, climbing, and highway runs back and forth between Idaho, Utah, Montana, and Wyoming. So, not to concerned about burnouts, but more concerned about drivability with what I got going on now; 40's, different gears, etc. Don't want to lose offroad capability, don't want to not be able to get on the highway every now and then.
With this, it almost sounds like a different engine would be the answer. Is this option complicated? Do I need to get a computer separately for teh engine? Will I need to do a different trans with getting a different engine? Will I need to be concerned about the gears in there now? (4.88's) I know, tough questions, just really trying to get a feel for what the experts think or from those who have done it before or really understand this stuff. Too much money to be making a mistake and doing it wrong if you know what I mean.
Thanks in advance for the advice though, its got me thinking about what the better option would be.
