not sure on sandblasting the center caps. My concern would be the amount of abrasion required to cut the chrome- would damage the plastic. I just had my upper grill sandblasted, thats plastic and it came out great. But it really wasn't the actual abrasion that removed the chrome, it was the heat. They would hit it lightly and the chrome would ripple up, they would peel off a chunk by hand then go some more. I'm filling in the hummer letters on that grill, so my filler will cover up any damage from the sandblasting.
I know lowes/home depot carries the acid that will remove that chrome if you want to try doing it yourself.
I tried oven cleaner on them first and it didn't do anything. Since their brand new you can probably get away a self etching primer then paint. If it doesn't hold up, then you can try a more drastic approach.
I'll get some pictures of the wheels next time im out at the shop, probably wont be untill monday. The black makes the wheels appear alot larger than they actually are. People keep thinking I sold my 24's and bought 30's.
