That's what I though too, has to be that simple?... I don't know what the GM parts guy was referring too...
I was going to switch them around with my other 08. The other one has the GM aftermarket Cat-Back Exhaust System 19157465

The cat-back isn't really much louder than the stock one, but the stock one also seems to sound louder than I remember on other stock 08/09s... The stock one has a more deeper throatier sound too than the cat-back, which is higher pitched and sounds more racier...
