If it makes you feel a bit better, most of the chrome on there isn't really that expensive. There's a lot of stick ons and overlays, basically everything except the front brush gaurd. I think even the rocker panel, the piece above the side steps is a cover... I am guessing there's not more than $500 in added chrome on it, depending on the source he bought it from of course...
