they are great on road . people that are saying they are slow are coming from very offroad-uncapable rides . it is a trade , offroad ability or asphalt eating speed , acceleration and hummer is an oxy-moron
. if you plan to mostly stay on highway get the base . smaller tires , softer suspension will give a very nice ride on pavement . but if you think you want to wheel in the future the adventure will take you beyond your wildest dreams
