Default Re: ride height air sensor mod??

Are you trying to adjust the ride height or get more clearance for wider tires on stock wheels? There is a thread somewhere on here I read about switching the links to the inside of the sensor and the trailing arm to clear 13.50 tires on stock wheels.

I modified my links to be adjustable. When I bought the truck someone had cut and lengthened the links by welding in a some longer rod. It looked like a 3rd grader did the welding. I cut the rod ends off leaving about 3/4" of the rod on each end. I JB welded the ends into an all thread coupling and cut some all thread to go between the 2 couplings with a jam nut on each coupler. Not that it could turn but it just looked more "factory". It did take a little trial and error on getting the adjusted so the truck set level both front to back and side to side. It takes VERY LITTLE adjustment to change the height so don't get crazy with making the to long for more lift.

I did read some here that you can take it to a GM dealer and have them program your computer to set the ride height as well. I'm guessing that would cost more then the $6.00 I invested and a couple hours of time.
