The issue with Sand Dunes in general is speed, speed, speed.
If the H1 is in 4 Low, you aren't going to get the speed you want or need. 4 High should get you by with plenty.
What I really want to do (next project) is put a Detroit locker in the rear. This way, I can leave it in High (4WD unlocked High) and blast thru the dunes.

I appreciate all the feedback. I looked at the 99 yesterday and was not impressed at all. Back to the books, I guess. Where did you guys find your trucks? Did anyone go from a H2 to a H1? Was it a good move? I am not real sure at this moment. I went wheeling with about 30 H1's and a few H2's this past weekend and the H1's had a hard time on the sand dunes. They kept getting stuck at the top. They couldn't get enough speed to reach the top. I on the other hand had no problem. There wasn't anything they could do that I couldn't do. What do you guys think?
